We have only one incorporated city, the county seat "McKee". We have no Wal-Mart, McDonalds, shopping center, Railroads or Airports. However, we do have 56,000 acres of Daniel Boone National Forest and some of the most beautiful country in the nation.

We are very proud of our county and its citizens. We take pride in making you feel welcome. Our county entrance sign says "Where we treat you like family". We sincerely desire that to be an accurate portrayal of our feelings.

We believe we have a beautiful county without much commercialism and yet we have convenient access to all the commercial activities that may be desired.
