Jackson County Dog Warden Provides service to all county residents to prevent nuisance of dogs in public areas: these services also include prevention of stray sickly dogs running at large, these dogs may be reported by members of the public or businesses. If the dogs owner cannot be located immediately the dog is transported to the Estill County Animal Shelter.
The Dog Warden also assists the Sheriffs Department in some instances the Parks and Recreation Director.
